(See answers below)

  1. Why join as a member of HOA Partners?
Joining as a member with a Username and Password provides access to the website and states that you are interested in supporting this program and receiving information of value to you.  Member only access also prevents hackers and other unscruputlous people from abusing the Program and the Website.

  2. What is the difference of joining as a VIP Member or FREE Member?
VIP Members who pay the $50.00 charter 1 year membership are sincerely interested in supporting this program and website and participating in the negotiated special pricing and terms offered by the Business Partners.  They also are interested in participating in the Rewards Progam.

Free Members want to access the information on the website including the names of the Business Partners who have been recommended based on careful screening by HOA Partners and demonstrated customer satisfication with other homeowners.  They choose not to pay the $50 annual fee and prefer just to pay the standard prices of products and services offered by the Business Partners.  They also prefer not to participate in the Rewards Program.

  3. Why is this called HOA Partners?
The idea and programs that are now part of HOA Partners originated in Wentworth Park Homeowners Association in North Raleigh.  The programs proved valuable over two years in terms of increased property values, time and money savings, and other benefits to homeowners. Because most homeowners associations in North Carolina are nonprofit corporations with charters, bylaws and covenants, they are limited in the scope of their legal responsibilities and abilities.  Recommending suppliers to homeowners is outside those responsibilities and presents potential liabilities and risks.  Therefore, HOA Partners was founded by Fred Brachman as an independent organization that can work directly with homeowners and HOAs to provide information, counsel, systems, and project management services that complement the programs and interests of the HOAs and the homeowners.  The term "Partners" was chosen to communicate that we are Partners dedicated to some common mission and goals of the communities and the homeowners who choose to participate on a strictly volunteer basis.

  4. Does my community have to have a legal Homeowners Association for me as a homeowner to participate and become a member of HOA Partners?
NO. Any homeowner can become a member of HOA Partners and support the mission and goals of this program in their community. We recognize that many older communities were not established with homeowner associations before 1990. Yet these communities face the same issues of flat or declining property values and no good means of identifying home service providers for home improvements and repairs they can really trust.

  5. Can I join HOA Partners as a member and participate in the programs if I don't have a computer or don't want to use it?
YES. If you are reading this, then you have access to a computer at work or elsewhere through a friend or family member.  We encourage you to establish your membership through that same source. But if you do not wish to, you can join and participate by calling Fred Brachman 919-870-1982.
